Accessibility at the UK Pavilion

Accessibility is at the heart of the development of the UK Pavilion. For those with access needs, please see below a breakdown of the different facilities available in the UK Pavilion at Expo 2025. 

The Queue

When attending the visitor journey at the UK Pavilion, those with additional needs can use 'Priority Queue' line. This can be found at the right hand side of the pavilion Undercroft queuing area. If a visitor has access needs, they should speak to one of the helpful UK Pavilion staff who will be able to direct them into the correct queue.  

Movement in the Pavilion 

For those with visual impairment, a braille map of the pavilion can be found within the Undercroft, to the right of the queue for the visitor journey. 

The Pavilion is made up of three levels:

  • Level 1 houses the entrance to the visitor journey, the shop and the restaurant. 
  • Level 2 houses the exit to the visitor journey and the Johnnie Walker Bar. 
  • Level 3 houses the IHG Hospitality Suite.

There are stairs for visitors, as well as lifts with the following carrying capacity: 

  • Capacity - 17 People
  • Size - 1500mm x 1800mmx

Food and amenities

Guests can find food and drinks from two locations within the UK Pavilion: The Restaurant (located on Level 1) and the Johnnie Walker Bar (located on Level 2). When visiting the UK Pavilion, there are two queues to enter the Pavilion restaurant, the one on the left is for takeaway food and the one on the right is for if you are dining in the restaurant (as shown in the image).

Visitor Journey

 

Hearing Loop Support 

The UK Pavilion visitor journey is equired to support 'Assistive Listening' using headsets provided by Ampetronic. These are available at the Information Desk prior to entering the first room of the visitor journey and a guide will ask if you need one in the Priority Queue. 

The audio guides with audio descriptive content provided are available in both English and Japanese. 

 

 

Accessibility books 

In addition to Assistive Listening technologies, accessibility books are available in both large format and Braille handbooks. These books which provide a map of the pavilion as well as further information about the story and characters. As with the headsets, these will be provided by one of the guides at the pavilion upon request.
